Experimental studies have proven the effectiveness of wine on weight loss, blood pressure and blood sugar

Wine is a beverage rich in phenolic compounds. Phenolic compounds are important natural antioxidants that reduce the incidence of diseases associated with oxidative stress, including cardiovascular disease. The effects of purple wine intake have been studied, but there is no information on the effects of drinking white wine. Therefore, this study was designed to evaluate the effects of white wine consumption on body mass index, waist and abdominal circumference, blood pressure and blood glucose, insulin, oxidative damage, and lipids in women.

A total of 25 women between the ages of 50 and 67 participated in the study. The researchers asked the volunteers to consume 7 ml/kg of white wine per day without changing their dietary energy consumption or lifestyle habits.

The results showed that
White wine supplementation reduced body mass index, BMI, waist circumference and abdominal circumference in women.
There was no significant difference in blood pressure before and after taking white wine.
In addition, no changes in blood glucose, insulin or oxidative damage levels were found.
Women supplemented with white wine had a 16% increase in HDL cholesterol levels (improved blood lipids).

These results suggest that intake of white wine may improve metabolic status in women, which may help to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
