Most people are starting to come across wines from the grape variety or region of origin. This has the advantage of accurate classification, but it is also more time-consuming. With so many wine producing countries and grape varieties, it is very unfriendly to the white man. In this issue, we offer six wines that are arguably the most common varieties of wine on the market today. After learning about these wines, you won’t have to make up your mind next time you order food or go to an offline store to buy a drink.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Flavor profile: black cherry, cassis, baking spices and cedar
Type: Full-bodied red wine
Cabernet Sauvignon is made from one of the world’s most popular red grapes. It is a natural blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and the everlasting desire of Bordeaux from France. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes have small grains, thick skins, and high tannin and pigment content, making them ideal for aging. As a result, they have the potential to make great wines.
Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied wine with rich tannins (which can be interpreted as a heavy bitterness). The high alcohol content of the wine and the rich tannins give Cabernet Sauvignon a long lasting aftertaste.

Syrah
Flavor profile: blueberry, plum, tobacco, bacon, black pepper, violet
Type: Full-bodied red wine
Shiraz is native to the Rhone Valley in France and is now the most widely grown grape in Australia. It is known as Shiraz in Australia. Shiraz is similar to Cabernet Sauvignon in that it has small grains, thick skins and a black skin color.
Shiraz wines are dark, dark purple or deep purple in color, with moderate or high tannins and moderate acidity. It is usually full-bodied and compact.

Pinot Noir
Flavor profile: red fruits (raspberries, strawberries, etc.), red flowers (roses, etc.), often with attractive botanical notes such as beets, rhubarb or mushrooms
Type: Light red wine
Pinot Noir is the world’s most popular light-bodied red wine and was first widely planted in France. Pinot Noir grapes have thin skins and are light in color.
Pinot Noir is dry and usually has high acidity, very fine and soft tannins, a smooth body, complex and elegant aromas, and is easy to drink.
